Today’s
spotlight shines one of our most experienced Shelby Systems’ Customer Support Specialists: Rachel Bomar.
After
13 years of working with Shelby customers in support, Rachel Bomar is a
“Jack-of-all-Trades” technician. She provides phone support, email, chat,
Giving portal posts, helps to train new techs, tests features in the
software, writes help documentation and assists with whatever else is needed.
Rachel considers it her ministry to help Shelby customers further their goals,
and hopefully, make their daily office work a little less cumbersome. You
might meet Rachel at one of Shelby’s annual conferences. She has led
one-on-one sessions for several years. Rachel enjoys meeting customers
face to face and being able to help them resolve any issues they may be facing.

know: RACHEL BOMAR
Hi – my name is Rachel Bomar, and I have been a part of the Shelby family since March 2006. Prior to working at Shelby, I earned three college degrees, including a Master of Arts in Religious Education from Southwestern Seminary. Growing up in a pastor’s home, I have experienced the church as a PK, member, volunteer (40+ years teaching children), administrative staff member, and ministerial staff. I thoroughly enjoy working with churches through my job at Shelby as a customer support representative supporting almost all of our products.
Away from work, my time is spent with family, my dogs, or my church friends. I also enjoy travel immensely, and have traveled in all 50 states as well as 7 foreign countries. I have been awed by the breathtaking beauty of creation on innumerable occasions as I’ve hiked in the Grand Canyon, parasailed over the beautiful waters of the South Pacific, spelunked an uncharted cave, snowmobiled through Yellowstone National Park, seen the magnificent Niagara Falls, as well as an equally stunning (albeit smaller) waterfall high up in the Andes mountains, experienced the anomalies of the Equator, and whale watched in an Alaskan fjord, just for starters.
But what gives me the greatest joy of my life, is praising and worshipping my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, teaching precious young children the truths of God’s Word, and returning again and again to Ecuador to work with Jared and Elisabeth Fly and their four beautiful children, as they seek to win souls for Christ among the peoples of the coastal region of Ecuador.
When you call Shelby Systems’ for software support, I am one of the helpful voices you will hear. I have been blessed to call many Shelby customers “friend” over the years, as we have worked together time and time again. I look forward to serving you and your ministry soon.
