Ken Bevel, a native of Jacksonville, FL, is currently the Senior Associate Pastor of Connections and Major Events at Sherwood Baptist Church in Albany, GA. You may recognize Ken for his role as Lieutenant Michael Simmons in the 2008 inspirational movie “Courageous” and as Nathan Hayes in the 2011 faith-based film “Fireproof.” He is also a 20-year veteran of the United States Marine Corps. Ken was instrumental in implementing the Shelby Arena ChMS at Sherwood and is a strong proponent of Arena for churches.
Ken Bevel is a graduate of the University of Memphis with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering Technology and a graduate of the Naval Postgraduate School with a Masters of Business Administration degree in Logistics Management. Ken is married to his wife Luana, and they have two beautiful children, Kyra and Kaleb.
